Traditionally, customer documentation has been sent via post but imagine if the same document could also be sent via email or fax for immediate delivery. Paris eXpedite allows you this flexibility.

Paris eXpedite, in conjunction with Paris Spooler, is able to split print files into individual single or multi-page documents and automatically prepare them for delivery via email or fax.

Paris Spooler is configured with dedicated email/fax queues. When documents are received, Paris Spooler envokes the appropriate Environment for formatting. The appearance of the document is normally identical to the printed version however it is possible to modify it to include pre-printed form elements if required.

The Environment is configured, with the services of Paris Document Interface, to extract fields from within the print file. These are then used to address the document and interface with the email and/or fax software.

If an email address is not present, Paris eXpedite can extract a fax number for faxing instead. Alternately, "interactive" mode can be enabled where an operator can be prompted to supply an email address if missing.

Other information that can be extracted includes a "sender's" email address for return reply of emails, a "subject" heading for the email as well as a message. These can also be configured to default to sender, subject and message values set at the eXpedite server. The resulting formatted document is then converted to Adobe PDF format for attachment to the email or for distribution by fax via your fax server.

Paris eXpedite will interface with all standard email servers using SMTP.
