GlobalSoft's IT Department handles the in-house developed "Share Holders Registration System (SRS)". The SRS system is client server technology and runs under a Windows NT environment.

With the announcement that GlobalSoft was to offer shares to the public, the IT Project Director, Mr Chris Ieriedes, recognised a need to be able to quickly produce key communication documents from the SRS system. Also, as a leading technology company, the documents had to reflect GlobalSoft's high-tech image.

Xerographic Systems, the distributor for Xerox in Cyprus, immediately turned to Document Output Solutions Europe with a request for the Paris suite of software from XLPrint Software. Paris provides its users with a powerful but simple to use turnkey solution for creating professional documents. Taking in unformatted ASCII print files from the legacy SRS system into Paris allows the production of professional high quality laser printed personalised documents.

For GlobalSoft, this meant a simple design process, without getting the SRS software developers involved in any system changes.

The Paris Designer module also enabled GlobalSoft to easily create and manipulate electronic forms and complete documents in a WYSIWYG Windows environment.

By using Paris, GlobalSoft are able to easily produce and print highly personalised documents to their current and prospective investors.

The simple design capabilities of Paris provided the solution that allowed the IT Project Team to develop all the documents they needed for the successful IPO, without involvement from the SRS development team. For high quality laser printing from the SRS via Paris, GlobalSoft installed with Xerox DC265 LP system.

The initial documents included:

		mailing labels from the same input data file
		share certificates
		personalised share allocation letter
		internal checklist report for shareholder administration team
		personalised invitation letter to corporate presentation
